Check out the
WEATHER IN SOUTHEAST
TEXAS page for up-to-the-minute weather and forecasts.
We are daylily growers, hybridizers, enthusiasts who
live and work in Southeast Texas.
The Gulf Coast Daylily Society of Southeast Texas is an
official club of the American Hemerocallis Society, Region 6. We
serve an area of Southeast Texas bordered on the east by Louisiana and
on the west by Houston. We reach down to the Gulf of Mexico on our
southern border and up into deep east Texas, to our north.
Some of the communities in Texas in which our members
grow daylilies are: Beaumont,
Bridge City, Buna, Cleveland, Groves, Livingston, Lumberton,
Magnolia, Magnolia Springs, Mauriceville, Nacogdoches, Nederland,
Orange, Pasadena, Port Neches, Port Arthur, Sour Lake, Spring, The
Woodlands, Vidor, Village Mills, and Winnie.
Some of our hometowns in Louisiana include:
Abbeville (LA), DeRidder (LA), Leesville
(LA) and Sulfur (LA),
Our purpose is to promote and encourage the development
and improvement of daylilies and to increase public interest in them.
We promote the use of daylilies as a means of home and civic
beautification.
Take our "Favorite Daylily" WEBSITE
POLL. You can also see the results.
In our home gardens, we grow a large number of beautiful
daylily plants with a wide variety of flower shapes and colors and
patterns. We grow common varieties and old favorites and many of
the newest cultivars.
Some of us even create hybrids -- brand new daylily
plants and flowers. One of us specializes in miniature doubles and
another in polytepals. Several have registered daylilies and sell
daylilies.
We are always learning! Come join us!!!
